Jorge Garcia (Born Miami, 1984) is a NYC based street photographer. He spends most of his time wondering the streets chasing interesting spontaneous moments using a Leica and a 28mm lens. He always shoots candidly and rarely speaks to the people he captures. Influences include Gary Winogrand, Matt Stuart, Gus Powell, Aaron Berger, and Andrei Wagner to name a few. In 2015, he founded NYC-SPC as a way for NYC street photographers to meet and share their thoughts on the genre as an alternative to web based communities. The goal for him was to establish a community of street photographers to exchange idea, experiences, and share the art of shooting street.
